    Bill Wall

Hi – I purchased a used fuelab fuel pressure regulator and was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I’ve been having.

I’m not sure what model I have but the serial number is 150504.

I’ve been having fuel pressure problems.  It bleeds down from 43psi to 10psi in about 10 seconds. And also i’ve been having intermittent pressure issues where it wont build any pressure at all.  It’s a return fuel system on an audi a4 1.8t.

I took the top portion of the regulator off to see if maybe the diaphram was cracked or had a hole in it.  It looked fine but I noticed wear around the orifice and on the ball bearing part of the diaphragm. (attached are pictures) Is the ball bearing supposed to be pressed in or free to move? Because its pressed in.

    Thanks,
    Bill
